Argies was founded in 2012 by Juan Andres Vais. Originally from Argentina, Juan has been living in the Mother City for more than 13 years. With an insatiable passion for food, Juan decided to bring one of Argentina's most loved cooking traditions, Asado, to South Africa. Since then Argies has become far more.

Similar to the South African braai, Asado is a uniquely Argentine open-fire cooking tradition. After years of passionate, experimentation and experience, Juan uses the Asado to create an authentic and delicious South American eating experience.
From the beautiful, grass-fed meat and vegetarian meals to the delicious desserts, all of Juan's dishes are perfectly prepared by the open fire setup.
Argies also offer amazing, mouth-watering grilled vegetable and non-meat dishes. Not only are the uniquely South American veggie dishes authentically prepared, they're also grilled to perfection over the open flame.

The Argies experience is that of openness and sharing. Our open kitchen gives you and your guests the chance to interact with the chefs, so you get to witness each and every step of their unique cooking methods.
Catering is available for between 50 to 500 people.
The No. JUAN brand was created as the retail brand from ARGIES. This brand delivers the ancient knowledge of Juan's grandmothers cupboard, mixed with today's Cape Town, in pursuit of the new next trendy product.
