Cape Town at a glance
The vibrant hub of the city centre has experienced tremendous growth and over the last decade has seen its residential population increase by more than two thirds, predominantly made up of young professionals, students and entrepreneurs.
The close proximity to work, meaning one avoids the ever increasing congestion of traffic on the arterial routes leading into the city as well as the abundance of cafes, shops and restaurants, nightlife and art and museums make the Cape Town City Centre very hard to resist.
Added to this, the close proximity to the mountain and beaches and all they have to offer is also valued by the local residents.
Security, often a major concern in city centres, is something that the CCID (Central City Improvement District) prides itself on. The CCID, established in 2000, has seen a reduction of crime of 90%!
Two dedicated security managers oversee over 214 security personnel that work hand in hand with the police.
